Dr. Prasad Kakarala, MD
Dr. Prasad Kakarala, MD, DCH, FAAP received his medical degree in India and completed his pediatric residency at the Institute of Child Health in Hyderabad, India, as well as at Columbia University in New York.
He is board-certified in pediatrics and has dedicated his career to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and families.
Dr. Kakarala has proudly served the Tiffin, Ohio community for more than 45 years, building lasting relationships with generations of families. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to medical education as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, helping to train future pediatric providers.
He has been precepting for 30 years and has trained over 250 students. Dr. Kakarala has become the most requested pediatric preceptor and is incredibly popular with medical students, as he is known for his vast knowledge and experience.
Known for his kindness, patience, and genuine compassion, Dr. Kakarala is deeply committed to the health and well-being of the children he cares for. He takes great pride in being part of the Tiffin community and values the trust families place in him to care for their children as they grow and thrive.

Samantha Dotson, APRN
Samantha is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatric care. She began her nursing career in 2005 after earning her Diploma in Nursing from Firelands Regional Medical Center and later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio.
Her early clinical experience includes working at St. Vincent Medical Center and spent ten years at Tiffin Mercy Hospital where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and clinical practice.
Samantha earned her Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Kaplan University in 2015 and began practicing as a nurse practitioner with Tiffin Pediatrics.
Over the past several years, Samantha has focused on delivering comprehensive care to infants, children, and young adults through both routine well visits and acute sick care.
She offers expertise in managing chronic and complex pediatric conditions. She also will address common behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns where she has developed growth over the last several years working with individuals with complex intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As a local resident, Samantha is passionate about supporting the health, growth, and development of children and families, while actively contributing to the well being of the community she proudly calls home.

Whitney Stine, APRN
Whitney Stine is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with 14 years of nursing experience, including 10 years dedicated specifically to pediatric nursing. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and supporting families throughout every stage of childhood.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ashland University. Following graduation, she began her career at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center at The James, where she cared for patients undergoing cancer treatment. This experience helped shape her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to patient-centered care.
Whitney later transitioned to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), caring for critically ill and premature infants. While working in the NICU, she returned to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. After completing her graduate degree, she continued working in the NICU as an Advanced Practice Nurse for two years.
She eventually returned to her hometown to be closer to family and joined the team at Tiffin Pediatrics. She enjoys serving the rural community she grew up in and providing comprehensive pediatric care, including both well-child visits and sick visits.
Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with her two young sons and their chocolate Labrador puppy. She values family time and being an active part of the community she proudly calls home.
